The company recently received an emergency repair enquiry for two extra large marine bearings of 295kg and 335kg, respectively. To meet the customer’s need, the standard lead time of four days had to be significantly reduced.
Production turnaround of the two bearings was two days.
Vesconite Bearings is aiming to reduce production times of large bearings even further over the coming year, down to 24 hours.
