Self Lubricating Vesconite
Vesconite problem solving index Vesconite is specially compounded with internal lubricants that reduce the requirement for greasing and maintenance while giving a longer bush life. Because of the internal lubrication with Vesconite, there is less requirement for maintenance and greasing externally. Vesconite Hilube is an advanced grade of Vesconite with advanced internal lubricants giving the lowest friction and the longest life. Unlike oil filled materials, Vesconite's lubricants are compounded as part of the material, and therefore will not leak out over time. The lubricants are available throughout the material and not only as a thin layer on the surface. Vesconite has a low friction. Vesconite Hilube has an even lower friction and no stick slip. Designers and operators are demanding a more reliable design with lower maintenance. Traditional bronze bushes must be regularly lubricated or else rapid wear occurs. Vesconite bushes are especially useful where greasing is not practical or in applications where grease could contaminate the environment or the product. Vesconite operates well in micro-oscillation applications. Where the oscillation of a bearing is very small, this does not give the grease an opportunity to cover the bearing surface, resulting in high wear with traditional materials. Because Vesconite is self lubricating, grease is not required to give a long life.
