Lower maintenance, lowering costs Reduce maintenance costs with self lubricating Vesconite Vesconite problem solving index Vesconite bushes save money by decreasing shaft and bush wear and by reducing costs related to maintenance systems and consumables. Plant maintenance is a time consuming and costly exercise. Equipment designers try to reduce the requirements of maintenance and greasing but still want a long service life. This places performance demands on wear parts in any design. Vesconite is self lubricating and therefore requires less grease and less maintenance but still gives an improved wear life to bushes and bearings. Maintenance can be scaled down towards the ideal of maintenance free systems. Vesconite has a lower requirement for greasing and in many applications greasing can be stopped altogether without affecting the performance of the equipment or the maintenance intervals. Traditional bushing materials such as bronze perform well as long as the environment is clean and dry and there is regular lubrication. This is often not the case as greasing is not practical and seldom carried out according to specified requirements. Maintenance activities, consumables and downtime contribute to the high cost of maintaining greased bushes. With Vesconite bushings this can be reduced. With long life Vesconite bushings the time between replacement of wearing components is increased and downtime is reduced giving lower costs and better reliability.
