Vesconite and Bronze Vesconite outperforms bronze and eliminates the need for regular greasing. Vesconite problem solving index Vesconite gives up to 10 times the life of bronze in dirty conditions.
The bushes are greased regularly The application is clean The application is dry These situations are uncommon as regular greasing is often not practical or is neglected. Vesconite gives up to 10 times the life of bronze bushes in dirty applications. Vesconite operates well in badly lubricated, dirty or wet applications. Self lubricating Vesconite eliminates the need for greasing and therefore reduces the cost and trouble of lubrication systems. If bronze bearings are not regularly greased, wear rates are high. It used to be acceptable to maintain actively and replace wearing components. Modern maintenance methods require a system to run with a minimum amount of maintenance and still perform according to the specifications. Vesconite aids these methods because lubrication systems can be simplified and become less critical to the performance of the application. In many environments maintenance is not carried out according to specifications resulting in accelerated wear. Vesconite is not reliant on lubrication and so if greasing does not happen for a period, Vesconite will still perform. Vesconite is safe to use because it contains no lead as with bronze and has no asbestos or fibres. Vesconite is more environmentally friendly than bronze, as oil and grease can be eliminated which reduces the risk of leaking of pollutants. Vesconite operates well in micro-oscillation environments. Where the oscillation of a bearing is very small, this does not give the grease an opportunity to cover the bearing surface; this results in high wear. Because Vesconite is self lubricating, the layer of grease is not generally required to give a long life. Updated Apr 07 2005 |
