Chain idler bushes for sewerage treatment plant
Smart people use Vesconite bearings, smarter people ask for advice.
The people who ran the project are pretty smart. They used 316 stainless steel sleeves on the 5" shafts, a clean water feed to each bearing and Vesconite bearings which were chosen instead of laminates or elastomers on the basis of load capacity and wear life.
When a rebuild project costs hundreds of thousands and takes months of planning before you start, you don't want to do it again under warranty.
