wear rings have many advantages over traditional bronze and cast iron wear
rings.
Vesconite is a synthetic, dimensionally stable bearing material ideal for impeller and casing wear rings.
Vesconite can be machined with closer
running clearances than metal wear rings, giving improved efficiency by reducing
water by-pass across the pumping stages.
Even a 0.5% improvement in pump efficiency can result in massive savings.
Protect
your Pumps
If contact
does occur between a Vesconite wear ring and impeller there is no metal to metal
contact. With traditional metal wear rings, metal to metal contact results in galling,
causing severe damage to the impeller
and even the pump. With Vesconite this problem is avoided.
Machining and Fitting
Vesconite is easy and safe to machine
and easy to install. Standard lathes can be used for Vesconite. Fitting is
usually achieved using press fits.
Vesconite is available in a wide range of hollow bar bushings and plates.
