Renewable Bush on Multistage MRA Pump
The MRA Multistage pump is used to pump water from one level to the next in certain gold mines.
The renewable bush on
the MRA pump has an outside diameter of 140 mm (5.5"), inside diameter of 120 mm,(4.7") is
165 mm (6.5") long and has a 180 mm (7") diameter flange 10 mm (0.4") thick. The pump runs at high
revolutions and the bush acts as a seal. It is water cooled.
The use of Vesconite
has resulted in much longer wear life than the traditional phosphor bronze bush.
The Vesconite replacement was achieved at approximately one third of the bronze
bush price.
