This is the private yacht of the Dutch Royal family. Both Queen Beatrix and Crown Prince Willem Alexander are very experienced sailors.
The Groene Draeck is also used for guests and visitors from all over the world. Guests include Tony Blair, Nelson Mandela and the Belgian Royal Family.
When the sterntube bearing of the sailing yacht needed replacement in 1999, Vesconite Hilube was chosen as the ideal water lubricated bearing material.
