Vesconite and Vesconite Hilube are Drinking Water Approved

Full tests of effect on water quality passed!
They are suitable for use in contact with drinking water - for both cold and hot water use up to 65°C (150°F).

Vesconite and Vesconite Hilube have passed all potable water tests and are approved by the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme in the United Kingdom (WRAS).

The hot drinking water tests represent much more challenging tests, which are far harder to meet than the cold water tests.

A major advantage of Vesconite and Vesconite Hilube bearings in water applications is that they usually do not require greasing. This simplifies maintenance significantly and allows for much cleaner and simpler operation.

Vesconite and Vesconite Hilube also represent a major advantage over metallic bearings such as those made from bearing bronzes. These often contain lead and tin which are hazardous to health.

Vesconite is the ideal bushing material for drinking water and pump applications where:
• lubricant cannot be allowed to contaminate the water 
• chemical attack is a problem 
• the bearing operates under water.
