Bush Talk #19

Can you eat off a Vesconite plate? Yes!

Vesconite approved for contact with both solid and liquid foods

Tests of food compatibility have been conducted on a "plate" of Vesconite intended to come into short term dynamic contact with solid or liquid foodstuffs.

These tests were carried out in France's National Test Laboratory, according to the French regulations and European Union directives.

A major advantage of Vesconite bearings in food processing applications is that they usually do not require greasing. This greatly simplifies maintenance and allows for much cleaner and simpler operation.

Vesconite also reduces costs because food approved greases tend to be expensive.

Vesconite has a health advantage over metallic bearings, such as those made from bearing bronzes, which often contain lead and tin.

Vesconite is the ideal bushing material for food applications where:
• lubricant cannot be allowed to contaminate the product
• chemical attack is a problem
• the bush runs under water and liquid foods.
