If you need thin wall bushes, think Vesconite

We are pleased to bring you our new range of Vesconite MV thin wall bushes.

For over 20 years we have supplied customers with Vesconite to replace polymer coated metal strip bearings. They had found that once the thin layer of polymer coating was worn, metal to metal contact caused a high wear rate. This was particularly a problem in dirty and wet environments.

Changing to Vesconite MV bushes overcame this problem. The benefits included:

• Vesconite is a better wearing surface than the thin layer on the polymer coated metal bush, so the wear rate is slower and bush life longer.

• The full thickness of the Vesconite wall is available as a wearing surface, instead of only a 0.05 to 0.5mm thickness of polymer coating.

• Vesconite bushes have excellent resistance to dirty conditions. The problem of the thin polymer coating on metal bushes being scratched and removed by abrasives does not occur.

• Vesconite bushes work exceptionally well in wet conditions. With metal bushes corrosion poses a problem, particularly electrolytic corrosion.

• Vesconite bushes have excellent resistance to solvents, acids and petroleum

The success of these early customers encouraged us to introduce a complete new range. Our new Vesconite MV bushes, stocked in a wide range of sizes, are precision machined with interference fits and clearances for standard combinations of housings and shafts.

Applications include bushes for pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders and valves, door, bonnet and tailgate hinges, steering columns, pedals, wiper arms, mechanical handling and lifting equipment, forklifts, king pins, scissor lifts and cherry pickers, textile machinery, scientific and medical equipment, office machinery and printers, fuel and gear pumps, wind energy equipment, agricultural machines, automatic sliding doors and gates, ATMs, gaming equipment, garbage trucks, chemical plant, cranes and conveyors, roller chain, earthmoving and construction, underground and open cast mining, packaging machines, bottling and canning, car wash machinery, commercial marine and boating, safe hinges, chair and ski lifts... even bushes for cabriolet roof linkages!
